Ya Reeves is an outdoor environmental educator from Far East Gippsland. Having studied a bachelor of outdoor education with honours, she has shared wild, beautiful places across Australia with both secondary and tertiary students. Over This Backbone was her first novel. She lives and writes in North East Victoria, at the base of Mount Bogong.
