Andrew McDonald is the author of two beloved series for young readers: the bestselling Real Pigeons junior fiction series, which is now in development for film/TV with Nickelodeon, and the graphic novel series Hello Twigs (published as Twig Friends in the US). He loves writing stories that make kids laugh, wonder and leap into the air with surprise, and regularly presents at schools and runs creative writing workshops. His books have been shortlisted for the Readings Children's Book Prize and the Australian Book Industry Awards. He lives in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.
