John O’Donnell served time as music editor at Rolling Stone (Australia) and as editor of Juice magazine before crossing to the dark side in the mid ’90s, starting the internationally successful Murmur label (Silverchair, Something For Kate, Jebediah). In 2002, he became CEO of EMI Music Australia/NZ. He jumped ship in 2008 to write this book and pursue other life adventures … and then in 2013 he returned to his old role. His favourite album of all time changes constantly. This week it is either Tonight’s the Night by Neil Young, Tusk by Fleetwood Mac or Neutral Milk Hotel’s In The Aeroplane Over The Sea.
