Australian-based freelance writer and editor Andrea Black has been a regular visitor to Los Angeles since she was a child. In the past 15 years, she he has spent at least one month of every year exploring the city. At first, she found the city overwhelming, but has since discovered the key to this metropolis is exploring one area at a time. Specialising in travel writing as it relates to design, architecture and music, Andrea’s work has been published in magazines and newspapers from The New York Times Magazine to Better Homes and Gardens. She regularly contributes to 'Traveller' in The Sydney Morning Herald/The Age, The Weekend Australian and 'Escape' in the Herald Sun. She worked as a magazine editor before going freelance, giving her more time to visit LA and discover new districts of this endlessly fascinating city.
